Oh boy do I have the vacation bug. With the start of my new job, I can’t take a vacation day until June 12th and I am already trying to figure out how I’m going to use my time. But, with the sites I am using, it’s actually better to look for vacations a little closer to when you want to go, if you don’t have your heart set on anything.
TripAlertz – Offers really good, well-rounded vacations at more than half off. And, as more people buy the trip, the cheaper it could get.
Google Offers, Groupon, and Living Social – Are now promoting getaways with short booking windows.
Kayak – Is promoting quick-turn around vacations if you sign up for their e-newsletter.
TravelZoo – Their e-newsletter has always brought great air-fairs and deals.
CheapCaribbean.com – Really, really cheap Caribbean vacations. It helps if you’re flexible with date.
Last Minute Cruises – You have to sign up for their service, but you can see the occupancy/availability of each of the cruises in the next 90 days and as you get closer to the date, the rate starts dropping.
Dealbase – They have deals just like Travelzoo.
Travelmuse – They have a “Get Inspired” feature where you can put in different attributes you want in a vacation and it will make suggestions. It keeps telling me that I should go back to New Orleans…
I want to go somewhere!
Great info…learned some new sites! Thanks!!
